Day 1: Arrival in Athens
Arrive in Athens and transfer to your hotel. Rest of day at leisure. Overnight in Athens. Possibility to join an optional Athens by night tour with dinner & folklore show, depending on your arrival time.
Day 2: Athens
After breakfast, pick up from your hotel for an Athens city tour. Depart for Panathinaiko Stadium, cradle of the first Olympic Games took place in 1896 (short stop). Pass by the Prime Minister’s Residence, ex Royal Palace (guarded by colorful Evzones), Zappeion (Conference & Exhibition Hall). Proceed, passing by Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus. Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Academy, University, National Library, Old Parliament, Constitution Square, Russian Orthodox Church and final[1]ly Acropolis (visit Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion with its Porch
of Maidens). Return to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Athens. Option to include visit to Acropolis Museum at an extra charge.
Day 3: Athens - Epidaurus - Mycenae - Olympia
After breakfast, pick up from your hotel for a 4‐day Classical Greece tour. Depart for the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theater, world famous for its outstanding acoustics. Proceed to Nafplion (short stop) and through the plain of Argos arrive to Mycenae. Visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. In the after[1]noon depart for Olympia, the birth place of the Olympic Games, through the cities of Tripoli and Megalopolis (short stop). Dinner and overnight in Olympia.
Day 4: Olympia - Delphi
After breakfast, visit the archaeological site with the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Depart via Patras to Rion, cross the Corinthian bay by the new bridge to Antirion. Pass by the city of Nafpaktos and from there on, along the coastal road to Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. In the afternoon, visit the picturesque mountain village of Arachova. Dinner and overnight in Delphi.
Day 5: Delphi - Kalambaka (near Meteora)
After breakfast, visit the archaeological site and the Museum of Delphi. Depart for Kalambaka via Central Greece (short stop by Lamia). Dinner and overnight stay in Kalambaka (a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks and crowned by the Meteora Monasteries).
Day 6: Kalambaka - Athens
After breakfast, leave for nearby Meteora to visit the Byzantine Monasteries. Return to Ath[1]ens passing the heroic monument of Leonidas, King of Sparta at Thermopylae. Overnight in Athens.
Day 7: Athens
Breakfast at your hotel and day at leisure. Overnight in Athens. Possibility to join an optional tour.
Day 8: Departure from Athens
After breakfast, pick up from your hotel and transfer to Athens Airport, for your departure flight.
