    • Athens, Delphi, Kalambaka, Meteora Monasteries & Athens - 5 days / 4 nights

    Day 1: Arrival to Athens

    Arrive in Athens and transfer to your hotel. Rest of day at leisure. Overnight in Athens.

    Possibility to join an optional Athens by night tour with dinner & folklore show (optional).

     

    Day 2: Athens

    After breakfast, pick up from your hotel for an Athens city tour. Depart for Panathinaiko Stadium, cradle of the first Olympic Games took place in 1896 (short stop). Pass by the Prime Minister’s Residence, ex Royal Palace (guarded by colorful Evzones), Zappeion (Conference & Exhibition Hall). Proceed, passing by Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus. Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown sol[1]dier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Academy, University, National Library, Old Parliament, Constitution Square, Russian Orthodox Church and final[1]ly Acropolis (visit Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens). Return to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Athens.

    Option to include visit to Acropolis Museum at an extra charge.

     

    Day 3: Athens - Delphi - Kalambaka

    After breakfast, pick up from your hotel for a 2-day tour. Departure for Delphi town, which in the ancient times was known as “the navel of the world”. Start your tour by passing from Castalia spring, visit the archaeological site - the Temple of Apollo, famous for its oracle and also do not forget the Delphi Museum, with its spectacular findings, including the bronze Charioteer, the Naxian Sphinx and the Statue of Antinoos. After the tour, enjoy some free time at Delphi village. Afterwards, departure for Kalambaka town for dinner and overnight.

     

    Day 4: Meteora Monasteries

    After breakfast you will visit the Monasteries of Meteora. From the 12th century onwards, monks and hermits began to retire to the recesses in these immense grey rocks of Meteora and in the 14th century a large monastic state began to develop, which in the 16th century numbered 24 monasteries only five of which are still occupied and two will be visited. Free time for lunch, before the return trip to Athens for overnight.

     

    Day 5: Departure from Athens

    After breakfast, pick up from your hotel and transfer to Athens Airport for your departure flight.
